o my goal today was to tucker this little boy out! We decided that tonight would be the night we stopped nursing (we're trying to have another baby). Owen's only been nursing at night for the last two months. But he goes to sleep so easily when he nurses. We've been talking about when and how to move to this for months. Since school is out now,we decided to just do it. This morning we went for a two mile walk. Then we had a short nap. After lunch we went to the park and played, followed by his regulary two hour afternoon nap. 
Then when Erik got home we all went to the pool for an hour and swam. Owen had an awesome time. He laughed and smiled and loved the water. After dinner we had a bath, read a few books, rocked in the nursery, and sang a few son
gs. We put him in the crib and patted his back for a few minutes then walked away. He stood up, screamed and cried. By the time we got back to our room and turned on the monitor, he was already back down and going to sleep. He seriously cried for less than two minutes. I couldn't believe it. I hope it continues to go this well. I am convinced that we have the most awesome little guy in the world!
