Mr. Mom

Erik's been staying home with Owen all week while I've been in a history workshop I attend every summer. I'm so sad being away from Owen all week (and my exercise program has gone down the tubes this week), but Erik has been doing an excellent job as Mr. Mom. He's gone to the park and the lake with Owen. He's played outside (even though I'm sure he's miserable with the heat) with Owen. Yesterday he really ventured out. He went for a Greek lunch with Owen, my brother Allen, and my dad. They had a great time and even brought home yummy leftovers. Today he took Owen outside and snapped come cute pictures of him playing. I've got one more day of my workshop. I decided that a four-hour round trip bus ride to the George H.W. Bush presidential library in College Station doesn't really jive with my idea of fun. So I won't be attending the field trip on Friday. So Erik will go back to work for the one day this week, and I will get my little boy back! One more week, then I go back for in-service. I'm going to be pretty sad when that week is over.
