15 Months

We took Owen for his 15-month check-up yesterday, and he's still trucking along. He's in the same percentile as always, 25% height, 50% weight, and his giant noggin is in the 75%. He's currently 24 1/2 pounds and is 30 inches tall. He did have to get two shots, which I hate. I read an article not to long ago about EMLA cream. It has lidocaine in it. And supposedly when applied an hour before shots, numbs the area and makes it much less painful. But you have to request it before your visit and pick it up at a pharmacy. The article made me cry in regards to babies and pain. It's so horribly sad. If you've ever tried this, please let me know if it worked or didn't work.I'm sad today because I have a workshop all next week. And after that, I only have ONE MORE WEEK of summer before I go back to school. The first month just inched by, but July has flown way too fast. I have gotten into such a good routine with Owen. And I love ♥ being home with him. It's going to break my heart to have to take him to daycare in just two and a half weeks. Maybe we'll try to do something fun that last weekend, like go to the drive through wild animal park or the zoo or something. He adores animals. We did go up to Erik's work today and had a wonderful Indian lunch with him and "Aunt" Sherry! Owen just loves her. We'll be going back up one more time before school starts (and Sherry moves to a different building in Round Rock). We have to pack a lot of swimming, park going, and other fun into the next two and a half weeks!
