Dogs

So we have probably the most forgiving dog in the world. She is a sweetheart & will take a lot of rough play. This is good with a fourteen month old boy. But we don't want to push her over the edge. Owen loves to hug her, which is sweet. But he also loves to pull her tail, ears, and lipS until she yelps. She doesn't bite him. But she's obviously scared of him. Of course, how do you discipline a child that young and teach him how to treat the dog (and cat, for that matter) nicely? We're working on demonstrating to him how to pet the dog (not yank all the dog's hair out). But this isn't really working. Of course I'm afraid one day she just won't take the abuse anymore, and she'll bite him.
